SCREENWRITER
I recently dusted off an animation script I wrote in 2015 called Willow the Wildebeest, to re-work the story into Early Reader fiction for kids between 5 and 8 years old.
In 2016, I wrote, produced and directed a children’s travel series promoting family holiday packages. My cast were talented actors under10-years old. I shot in studio against a green screen and transported the children digitally to various exotic locations.
In 2015, I entered my animation script,Willow the Wildebeest, into The Triggerfish Story Lab, a collaboration between animators, the Department of Trade and Industry (South Africa), and The Walt Disney Company. My script was not selected for development, but I was invited to attend a seminar with Hollywood script consultant Pilar Alessandra.
In 2014, I wrote, directed and produced an 8-episode YouTube travel series, Congo Adventures, about gorilla trekking in the Republic of Congo.
Earlier that year, I completed the National Film and Video Foundation’s SPARK Emerging Screenwriters’ Programme, an intensive six month foundational course taught by industry professionals.
In 2013, I wrote, directed and produced a 9-episode YouTube narrative series, shot in studio, about two travellers, David & Dave. I also wrote, directed and produced a 6-episode YouTube travel series shot in various locations, called Adventure Africa.
In 2012, I won a National Film and Video Foundation development grant for my short, narrative screenplay, Feast - A Cautionary Tale.
